Scientifique de la performance, Thomas Romeas oeuvre dans les domaines spécialisés des neurosciences, de la vision, et de la psychologie.
Après avoir complété un post-doctorat à l’École de technologie supérieure et l’Académie du CF Montréal, Thomas a rejoint l’Institut national du sport du Québec (https://www.insquebec.org/), un centre national d'entraînement olympique et paralympique, où il œuvre en tant que responsable des activités de recherche et d’innovation.
Détenteur d’un doctorat en neurosciences de la vision (Université de Montréal), son expertise porte notamment sur l'évaluation et l'apprentissage d'habiletés, la performance sportive, la vision sportive (par exemple, les stratégies visuelles liées à la prise de décision), la psychologie du sport, les commotions cérébrales, et le génie logiciel et informatique (par exemple, la réalité virtuelle). Il travaille avec des athlètes de haut niveau et des organisations sportives professionnelles, olympiques et paralympiques. Il mène des activités de recherche pour innover, informer sa pratique, et faire avancer les connaissances, notamment en sport de haut niveau.
