Research expertise
Mes intérêts en archéologie préhistorique portent sur l'interface humain-environnement des principales transitions de l'histoire de notre espèce, notamment la transition du Paléolithique moyen au Paléolithique supérieur et le passage vers l'agriculture (la révolution néolithique). Je me penche particulièrement sur l'impact des humains sur leurs environnements au cours de ces moments clés de l'histoire de notre espèce de même que l'influence des facteurs climatiques sur l'évolution des stratégies comportementales humaines. Ces phénomènes sont étudiés tant par le moyen de travaux de terrain dans le nord de l'Italie (Ligurie) que par différentes modélisations expérimentales. Sur le plan théorique, j'aborde ces questions d'une perspective ancrée dans la théorie de construction de niche et de l'écologie comportementale humaine.
