Implementation science holds the key to successfully scaling up research interventions in other contexts. This presentation will provide an overview of current implementation science theory and how it is being applied across Canada to translate findings from randomized trials into real-life reductions in the use of potential harmful or unnecessary medications for older adults.

• How can we motivate behaviour change for patients, healthcare providers, and policy makers?
• What outcomes are important?
• How can we measure them?
