Purinergic signaling, ATP release, ATP imaging, cystic fibrosis, mucus properties, FLIM microscopy
Profile
Research expertise
Our research is focused on different aspects of lung epithelial cell physiology, including mechano-sensitive ATP release and purinergic signaling in the lungs, mucus rheological properties in cystic fibrosis, and cell volume regulation. In our studies, we use advanced light microscopy imaging techniques, such as real-time luminescence imaging of ATP release, total internal reflection fluorescence microscopy (TIRF) and fluorescence life time imaging (FLIM). Our current research collaborations include scientist at McGill University (Canada), University of North Texas (USA), University of Nagoya (Japan) and Fudan University in Shanghai (China).
