Research expertise

Dr Victor Kokta est pathologiste et chercheur au CHU Ste-Justine. Pendant de nombreuses années, il a apporté une expertise dans les tumeurs pédiatriques mélanocytaire (telle que les nevi de Spitz et les mélanomes pédiatriques) ainsi que dans les tumeurs/malformations vasculaires pédiatriques.

Biography

Formation de médecine à Université de Sherbrooke, spécialisation en anatomo-pathologie à Université de Montréal, et sur-spécialisation en dermatopathologie adulte et pédiatrique au New-York Presbyterian - The University Hospitals of Columbia and Cornell sous la supervision de Dr. N. Scott McNutt et Dr. Klauss Busam terminant et 2001.

  • 1991 :    Premier prix pour présentation d'un projet de recherche intitulé "Insulin increases              intracellular free calcium in heart and cardiovascular muscle cells" lors d'un symposium                 sur la recherche sur le diabète. Université de Dalhousie à Halifax, Kokta V.
