Biography
Dr Aris Hadjinicolaou est un neurologue et épileptologue pédiatrique, diplômé en médecine de l’Université de Montréal. Il a complété sa résidence en pédiatrie à l’Université McGill, un fellowship en neurologie pédiatrique à l’Université de Toronto au SickKids’s Hospital, puis un fellowship en épilepsie et neurophysiologie clinique au Boston Children’s Hospital de l’Université Harvard.
Depuis 2022, il est co-responsable (avec le Dr Alexander Weil) du programme de chirurgie de l’épilepsie, co-responsable (avec les Drs Inge Meijer et Alexander Weil) du premier programme de neuromodulation compréhensive du Québec, ainsi que directeur de programme de la formation complémentaire (fellowship) en épilepsie pédiatrique de l’Université de Montréal.
Dans le laboratoire qu’il co-dirige avec Dr Alexander Weil, sa recherche traite de l'épilepsie pédiatrique, de l'identification de facteurs prédictifs des effets post-chirurgie de l'épilepsie, de la découverte de nouveaux traitements et de l'application de nouvelles technologies en neurochirurgie de l’épilepsie, afin de rendre la chirurgie plus sécuritaire, efficace et d’améliorer la survie des patients.
