Biography
Dr Kakhki obtained his PhD in Animal Nutrition from the University of Guelph, where his research focused on poultry nutritional physiology, with particular emphasis on the role of n-3 fatty acids in skeletal development and their effects on egg production and egg quality. He subsequently gained experience in research and development within the animal feed industry. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Veterinary Biomedicine, where his research activities focus on poultry nutrition and nutritional physiology. His research interests include the development of evidence-based nutritional strategies for poultry and understanding how diet interacts with physiology to influence health and production outcomes.
