Biography
Dr. Ana C. Blanchard est pédiatre infectiologue et conseillère médicale en prévention des infections, au CHU Sainte-Justine. Suite à sa formation en maladies infectieuses pédiatriques à SickKids, elle a complété une formation complémentaire de recherche en épidémiologie hospitalière et traitement des infections liées à la fibrose kystique à l’Université de Toronto. Elle a également obtenu une maîtrise avec thèse en épidémiologie clinique.
Elle développe une carrière de recherche dans le domaine des infections chez les populations à risque, en particulier les enfants atteints de fibrose kystique. Elle est également intéressée par les infections nosocomiales et la résistance antimicrobienne.
