Je suis historienne des États-Unis et je m’intéresse de près à l’histoire de l’esclavage, de l’abolition et de la production de connaissances et d’expertise scientifiques au XIXe siècle. En particulier, ma recherche explore comment et à quelle fin les Afro-Américains ont incorporé la quantification dans leur activisme avant la guerre de Sécession.

I am an historian of the antebellum United States with broad interests in the histories of slavery, abolition, and the production of scientific knowledge and expertise. In particular, my research explores how and to what end African Americans incorporated quantification within their activism in the decades leading up to the Civil War.
