About the competition
The Eddie Goldenberg Research Chairs of Canada (Canada Impact+ Research Chairs) Program is a one-time initiative designed to support institutions in attracting world-leading researchers whose work addresses critical national and global challenges. The Program emphasizes both research excellence and tangible impact. The Eddie Goldenberg Research Chairs of Canada will receive long-term funding and institutional support to advance ambitious and transformative projects in strategic priority areas as defined by the Government of Canada.
The Eddie Goldenberg Research Chairs of Canada is a tri-agency initiative of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC).

The University of Montreal is seeking exceptional candidates interested in leading Eddie Goldenberg Research Chairs of Canada (Canada Impact+ Research Chairs) in a variety of fields. The Eddie Goldenberg Research Chairs of Canada Program aims to attract researchers of the highest caliber in the world. Through this unique opportunity, Chairholders may be awarded a grant worth up to $1 million per year for a period of eight years, with the possibility of an additional four-year extension (see details on the Program web page).
