Research expertise

Régulation et rôle des coactivateurs transcriptionnels PGC-1s dans le cancer et les maladies inflammatoires. Impact du médicament sur les PGC-1s et le métabolisme. Application de méthodes de criblage à haut débit pour l’étude pharmacométabolomique de l’inflammation.

Biography

Le Dr. Gravel a complété ses études graduées ici-même, et contribué significativement au développement du nouveau programme de baccalauréat en science biopharmaceutiques (BSBP) en tant que chargé de cours de biochimie et biologie moléculaire de 2009 à 2011. Il a par la suite a entrepris une double formation post-doctorale au Centre de recherche sur le cancer Rosalind et Morris Goodman de l’Université McGill. D’une part il s’est spécialisé dans l’étude du métabolisme dans le cancer du sein, d’autres part il a collaboré avec L’Oréal Paris dans l’étude des bases métaboliques de la peau vieillissante. Le Dr. Gravel met en place un programme de recherche sur la pharmacométabolomique de l’inflammation dans le cancer et dans la peau.
