La Dre Cynthia Qian présente deux méthodes révolutionnaires pour aider les personnes atteintes d’une maladie héréditaire de la rétine, à retrouver la vision. La thérapie génique chez les jeunes enfants dont la maladie est à un stade précoce, et l’œil bionique pour les personnes ayant complètement perdu la vue. La cécité n’est plus une fatalité. Biography

Cynthia Qian est professeure adjointe de clinique au Département d'ophtalmologie de l'Université de Montréal et chirurgienne au CHU Sainte-Justine. Elle est également vice-présidente de la Société canadienne de la rétine et présidente de la section des jeunes professionnels.

En 2018, la Dre Qian a été nommée professionnelle de l'année par la Jeune Chambre de commerce de Montréal. Elle a aussi été nommée personnalité de La Presse en 2017.
