Research expertise

Je suis professeure adjointe en criminologie à l'Université de Montréal, spécialisée en psychologie légale avec un focus sur les comportements sexuels atypiques et les populations vulnérables dans le système de justice pénale. Mes recherches portent principalement sur la zoophilie et les comportements sexuels envers les animaux, les perceptions sociales de la violence sexuelle, les expériences des personnes sourdes/malentendantes dans le système judiciaire, l'évaluation de tribunaux spécialisés en santé mentale, et les incels. Mon approche méthodologique combine analyses quantitatives et qualitatives, recherche communautaire en ligne, et évaluations de programmes pour développer une compréhension empirique rigoureuse de phénomènes souvent stigmatisés. Mes objectifs de recherche visent à réduire les préjugés envers les populations marginalisées, améliorer les interventions cliniques et judiciaires, et informer les politiques publiques basées sur des données probantes. À travers mes publications, enseignements et collaborations internationales, je cherche à combler les lacunes dans la littérature scientifique tout en développant des approches thérapeutiques et préventives plus efficaces pour ces populations souvent négligées par la recherche traditionnelle.
