Research expertise

My current research concerns three themes:

  1. Evaluating the needs of intervention staff and managers in the psychosocial field in terms of new knowledge
  2. Evaluating different knowledge transfer strategies (training, mentoring, communities of practice, etc.)
  3. Identifying conditions that encourage greater use of psychosocial research findings

Biography

Christian Dagenais (CD) est professeur agrégé au département de psychologie de l’Université de Montréal depuis 2004. Il dirige depuis 2008, avec le soutien financier du FQRSC, l'équipe RENARD, une équipe de recherche en partenariat sur le transfert des connaissances issues de la recherche. Cette équipe repose sur des collaborations entre chercheurs et milieux de pratique en TC, afin de contribuer à l’avancement des connaissances scientifiques dans ce domaine. Les intérêts de recherche de CD recoupent directement les objectifs de recherche de l’équipe, à savoir:

  1. l’évaluation des besoins des intervenants et des gestionnaires en matière de nouvelles connaissances;
  2. l’évaluation des effets des différentes stratégies de TC;
  3. l’identification des conditions favorisant une plus grande utilisation des connaissances.

CD a coordonné pendant huit ans l’un des axes du Groupe de recherche et d’action sur la victimisation des enfants (GRAVE), composé d’une quinzaine de chercheurs et de représentants des milieux de pratique. Il a ensuite occupé le poste de chargé de projet au ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux, pour un projet visant à tirer des leçons des évaluations de 40 projets québécois financés par le Fonds d’adaptation des services de santé. De 2002 à 2011, il a occupé la fonction de directeur de l’évaluation au Centre de liaison sur l’intervention et la prévention psychosociales (CLIPP), où il a dirigé une équipe composée de professionnels de recherche, de stagiaires et d’étudiants. Il jouit par ailleurs d’une grande crédibilité auprès des milieux académiques et professionnels dans le domaine du TC, ce qui lui permet de réunir autour de lui, tant des chercheurs de haut calibre, que des partenaires des milieux de pratique en TC.
