Expertise de recherche
Les mécanismes de signalisation cellulaire sont essentiels pour que les cellules intègrent les signaux de l’environnement externe génèrent des réponses adaptées. La dérégulation de ces mécanismes par des mutations dans des protéines de signalisation entraînent diverses pathologies. L’un des exemples les plus létaux est le cancer, qui résulte souvent de mutations qui activent des proto-oncogènes (par exemple, KRAS, BRAF, PIK3CA) ou inactivent des gènes suppresseurs de tumeurs (par exemple, PTEN, APC, TP53). L’objectif principal du laboratoire Roux est de décoder les réseaux de signalisation au sein des cellules cancéreuses afin de faciliter le développement de nouveaux traitements anticancéreux
