Guadalupe Gonzalez Dieguez, professeure agrégée à l'Institut d'études religieuses de l'Université de Montréal, est formée en études juives et en philologie hébraïque (New York University, Universidad Complutense de Madrid). Dans une perspective interdisciplinaire, elle étudie l'interaction des cultures religieuses islamique, juive et chrétienne dans l’Espagne médiévale; l'intersection de la philosophie, de la science et du mysticisme juif; et les chevauchements entre la philosophie, le mysticisme, et la littérature dans la production intellectuelle des juifs au Moyen Age. Elle étudie aussi le judaïsme sépharade au-delà des frontières de l'Espagne médiévale, et elle a travaillé sur la pensée de Spinoza et sa relation avec le judaïsme.
